FIRST GRADE SONG AT CG

Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas. For some reason this morning I was remembering Mrs. Ford and some of the songs that she taught us. I remember "Oh Where Have You Been Billy Boy?"; but can't remember all the lyrics. I think it starts like this; Oh where have you been Billy Boy, Billy Boy, Oh where have you been charming Billy........I've been to see???????????, she's the apple of my eye, she's a good girl and will not leave her mother.

Can you remember this song? Let me know the rest of it if you do. It seems I remember that in our classroom the girls stood on one end of the room and the boys on the other.

Now this is important stuff you know!

SAD NEWS

Mrs. Tuley passed away August 4th, 2011. This must be a very difficult time for the whole family since their dad died just last April.

The service will be private for Mrs. Tuley; but condolences may be made at www.swartzmortuary.com.

Mrs. Tuley was a wonderful lady; always kind and friendly with us VK's.

Not A Good Winter in Arizona

So sorry that I haven't contributed to the blog. You all know I love to know what's going on with you so I guess it really isn't right that I haven't shared more with you. I think the reason is that it's not uplifting news but rather very depressing. Mother arrived in Mesa in mid November. She fell on December 6th and really did hurt herself. We have had her in the hospital 4 different times. She has been diagnosed with heart failure. So much has gone on with her health care it would be totally boring for me to relay it to you all. Mother was admitted to a nursing home last Wednesday. Some days are better than others. She can not walk without assistance. Her spirits remain as high as possible as ill as she is right now. I am so regretful that I had her come out here this winter. However, I don't know how she would have managed at home with the cold and snow.

As you can tell, I've had no time for visiting the interesting places to see in Arizona but that's not a priority right now. I've had many nights without sleep and have been sick to my stomach at times because I can't get her back on her feet.

So that's my news VK's. Love you all and miss you too.

I just got news through the grapevine that Kerry Pratt passed away from Pancreatic Cancer.
Thought I should pass this on to Vandyskids.
